Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 12+ years of hands-on expertise in managing mission-critical production environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, operational maturity, and the ability to ensure database stability, performance, security, and high availability. This role requires strict adherence to production processes, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement of database systems.

Key Responsibilities

< data-start="910" data-end="951">Production & Operational Support

Provide 24/7 production support including on-call rotation for critical database systems
Manage database maintenance schedules and ensure minimal downtime
Handle incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and deliver detailed reports
Ensure strict adherence to change management and release processes

< data-start="1285" data-end="1327">Database Maintenance & Monitoring

Perform routine database health checks and proactive monitoring
Apply patches, upgrades, and security fixes in line with best practices
Monitor system performance, storage, and capacity planning

< data-start="1540" data-end="1566">Backup & Recovery

Design and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and other tools
Perform regular backup validation and disaster recovery drills
Ensure data integrity and availability at all times

< data-start="1775" data-end="1817">Performance Tuning & Optimization

Analyze and optimize database performance using SQL tuning, indexing, and query optimization
Identify bottlenecks and implement performance improvements
Conduct workload analysis and optimize resource utilization

< data-start="2048" data-end="2078">Security & Compliance

Manage database security including user roles, privileges, and access controls
Implement auditing mechanisms and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
