POSITION OVERVIEW: As a
CAD Technician II at
LJA Surveying, you will be responsible for performing technical drafting support for assigned projects independently with working knowledge of engineering technology in a specific field.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:- Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps
- Process conventional field notes and digitally collected data, analyze field data, and interact with survey field crews.
- Use survey data for the creation of survey plats, Sketches, and exhibits including surveys for builder services (vacant, form board, foundation, and final surveys)
- Create Survey Control Data Sheets, Survey Control Index Sheets, Horizontal & Vertical Control Sheets
- Compute data points for construction layout
- Understand technical survey requirements and specifications of the State of Florida standards of practice
- Write/check Metes & Bounds Descriptions
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:- Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- CADD experience is required
- Trimble Business Center experience preferred
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Attention to detail, organized
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work well in a team-focused environment
- Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or daily as changes occur in project need
