Job Description


We are seeking a Product Manager - Data Retention - Data Feeds to lead product planning and execution across the lifecycle for data retention and supervision technologies supporting electronic communication data. The role will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define product vision, communicate with end users, and partner with engineering, operations, marketing, supply chain, and support to meet financial and customer satisfaction goals. The role will also coordinate with key vendors and internal vendor management to align contracts and delivery. The portfolio impacts multiple business units within a large financial services enterprise, with emphasis on regulatory retention for new data feeds and timely delivery.


Responsibilities:



  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for data retention and supervision technologies.

  • Understand and represent customer needs and regulatory requirements for electronic communications.

  • Deliver clear requirements and prioritized feature backlogs with business justification.

  • Drive enhancements and updates through development, testing, and deployment.

  • Perform product demos and coordinate end-user training and communications.

  • Propose budgets, secure funding, and set pricing to meet recovery and financial targets.

  • Engage and manage external vendors; partner with internal vendor management on contracts.

  • Develop and manage core product positioning and messaging.

  • Deliver monthly metrics, including volumes, savings, expenses, and forecasts.

  • Run beta and proof-of-concept programs with early-stage products and samples.

  • Monitor and analyze alternative and competing products to inform strategy.

  • Ensure smooth execution for critical initiatives with focus on customer experience and time to market.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Strong product management expertise across lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment.

  • Experience with regulatory retention, supervision, and discovery for electronic communications.

  • History of success defining and launching products in high-volume production environments.

  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills with clear documentation and storytelling.

  • Influencing and problem-resolution skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to manage complex, concurrent priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Business-centric mindset with sound judgment to drive outcomes aligned to goals.

  • Self-motivated with strong organization and time management skills.

  • Information Technology professional with 7+ years of experience; 3-5 years in Product Management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field; Master's preferred.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience in highly regulated financial institutions.

  • Experience with technology deployment processes, archival, messaging, data analytics, and data management.

  • Product Management certification.

  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and deliver results without formal authority.
