Summary

Position Overview

The Oraganization is seeking an experienced HxGN EAM Sustainment Lead to provide critical functional and technical support for its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) environment.

This consultant will play a key role in sustaining, optimizing, and enhancing the existing HxGN EAM implementation established under the EAM Foundations Program. The position will focus primarily on maintaining and improving current system configurations, supporting business operations, resolving system issues, and delivering targeted enhancements as new business needs are identified.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with HxGN EAM version 11 or higher, including the Extensibility Framework, FlexSQL, Work Management, Asset Management, reporting, integrations, and mobile capabilities. This individual must be comfortable partnering with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to translate operational requirements into effective and sustainable EAM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and technical sustainment support for the DOS HxGN EAM environment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing HxGN EAM configurations established through the EAM Foundations Program.
  • Support HxGN EAM solutions configured to meet unique transit operations, asset management practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational needs.
  • Analyze complex business and system issues and recommend practical, scalable solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and support end-to-end project activities, including project planning, estimation, scope definition, requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Advise stakeholders on enterprise asset management best practices across maintenance, inspections, reliability, asset lifecycle management, and work management.
  • Partner with DOS business leads to facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and identify, document, and analyze business needs.
  • Perform current-state and future-state assessments and develop gap analyses for business processes and HxGN EAM capabilities.
  • Design solutions using HxGN EAM out-of-the-box functionality and collaborate with technical teams on custom solutions when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for system and process optimization based on business and operational requirements.
  • Develop and support HxGN EAM reporting and analytical solutions, including Queries, Inboxes, KPIs, and Dataspys.
  • Configure HxGN EAM to support DOS assets, work processes, maintenance activities, and operational requirements.
  • Support integration between HxGN EAM and other corporate systems.
  • Create, validate, execute, and document system and business test cases.
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and implementation readiness activities.
  • Develop end-user training materials, job aids, and system reference documentation.
  • Conduct or assist with end-user training and knowledge-transfer activities.
  • Provide implementation, go-live, hypercare, and post-go-live support.
  • Research and resolve user-reported system issues, errors, and software-related problems.
  • Evaluate proposed technical solutions and provide technical direction related to application development, system design, integrations, and mobile functionality.
  • Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, technical teams, vendors, and users at all organizational levels.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with HxGN EAM version 11 or higher.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the HxGN EAM Extensibility Framework.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing FlexSQL solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Extensive experience with HxGN EAM Work Management and Asset Management capabilities, including:
    • Work Orders
    • Work Planning and Scheduling
    • Equipment and Asset Management
    • Maintenance Management
    • Inspections
    • Reliability-related processes
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering enterprise asset management system services and leading solution-development activities or teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting or delivering EAM implementations.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into system configurations and functional solutions.
  • Experience conducting business process analysis, gap analysis, solution design, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience developing HxGN EAM reporting solutions using Queries, Inboxes, KPIs, and Dataspys.
  • Experience supporting HxGN EAM integrations with enterprise or corporate systems.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, organization, design, and functionality.
  • Ability to modify and adapt systems, applications, and processes to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Experience supporting HxGN EAM mobile functionality and evaluating mobile solution requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop and mobile software issues and supporting end users.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise asset management solutions in the transit, transportation, public sector, infrastructure, utilities, or other asset-intensive industries.
  • Experience supporting large-scale or complex HxGN EAM environments.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, inspections, reliability, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment with complex operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application integrations and technical solution architecture.
  • Experience leading or mentoring functional and technical project teams.
