Data Engineer Snowflake / AWS - Remote
We have a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Data Engineer to build and support the pipelines that feed a Snowflake analytics environment. You'll write Python scripts and SQL to load and transform files from AWS S3, validate the data, and keep it available to analysts, data scientists, and business users. The team is also moving workloads from Teradata to Snowflake, so the work includes supporting that transition and tracing production data issues to their source.
Candidates should have hands-on data engineering experience in healthcare, with strong Snowflake, AWS S3, Python, and SQL skills. Experience with file-based ETL/ELT, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Stages, and stored procedures is required. You should be comfortable troubleshooting pipelines independently and explaining data issues to the teams that rely on them. Experience with healthcare payer or provider data, Teradata migrations, dbt, Snowpipe, or Control-M is preferred.
This is a fully remote contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zone. Availability for recurring morning meetings during Eastern or Central business hours is required.
