Senior MLOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Senior MLOps Engineer to join their team.

Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Senior MLOps Engineer with strong experience building, deploying, and operationalizing machine learning solutions in cloud environments. This role will partner closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to transform machine learning models into scalable, production-ready applications. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering and data engineering expertise with practical experience managing the full machine learning lifecycle, from development through deployment and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable MLOps platforms and pipelines supporting machine learning model development, deployment, monitoring, and retraining
* Build and automate CI/CD workflows for machine learning models and supporting applications
* Develop and manage data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and model-serving infrastructure
* Deploy, monitor, and maintain machine learning models in cloud-based production environments
* Implement model monitoring, alerting, performance tracking, logging, and automated retraining processes
* Create APIs and services that integrate machine learning capabilities into enterprise applications and business workflows
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize predictive and recommendation-based machine learning models
* Optimize system performance, scalability, reliability, and security across ML platforms and applications
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues impacting machine learning workloads and data pipelines
* Promote software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, documentation, and version control

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on MLOps experience with production ML pipelines
* Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with Git/GitHub
* Experience with REST APIs/microservices and containerization such as Docker
* Strong understanding of ML model lifecycle management, deployment, monitoring, and automation
* Strong Python programming and software engineering skills
* Ability to work effectively with Data Science and Data Engineering teams
* Nice to have: Experience with Google Cloud Platform, preferably Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Composer/Airflow

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
