The SAP Technical Architect will play a critical leadership role in driving SAP S/4HANA Brownfield conversion programs, ensuring technical integrity, minimal disruption to business operations, and controlled modernization of the existing SAP ECC landscape.

This role requires deep hands on SAP technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and experience working across ABAP, Basis, Integration, Security, and SAP BTP in complex, large scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Brownfield Transformation & Architecture

• Lead the technical architecture for SAP ECC to S/4HANA Brownfield (System Conversion / Selective Transformation) programs, focusing on risk minimization and business continuity.
• Define and govern technical conversion strategy including Unicode conversion (if applicable), SP/EHP alignment, custom code remediation, and system optimization.
• Own the technical decision framework for keep, adapt, retire, or innovate for RICEF objects and custom developments.
• Ensure compliance with SAP Readiness Check findings, Simplification Item Catalog, and mandatory S/4HANA technical changes.

Custom Code & ABAP Strategy

• Lead custom code adaptation using SPAM, SUM, CVI, and ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) with S/4HANA checks.
• Drive modernization initiatives including:

Classical ABAP ABAP OO
SAP Scripts / SmartForms Adobe Forms
BDCs APIs / IDocs / OData services

• Provide architectural oversight for performance tuning, code pushdown, and HANA optimized design patterns.
