Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Azure cloud services and Snowflake data warehouse design and development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance data platforms and enabling advanced analytics and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure services and Snowflake.
• Architect and implement enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake solutions.
• Develop and optimize Snowflake schemas, including star and snowflake models.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
• Implement data ingestion from multiple sources (structured and unstructured).
• Optimize Snowflake performance through partitioning, clustering, caching, and query tuning.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across the data platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers, and business stakeholders.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and architectural standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
  • Azure Functions / Logic Apps (preferred)
• Extensive experience with Snowflake:
  • Data warehouse design
  • Performance tuning
  • Security and access control
  • Streams, tasks, and time travel
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration patterns.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts (Kimball, Inmon).
• Experience with Git, DevOps, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
