Role OverviewThis role is responsible for the administration, design, and support of virtualization and storage platforms, along with other critical infrastructure technologies. The position plays a key role in maintaining secure, high-availability systems and supporting both technical teams and end users in a classified environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer virtualization and storage platforms across the site and related technologies
- Provide technical leadership and actively contribute as a core member of the infrastructure team
- Manage and support infrastructure components, including hypervisors, storage solutions, system updates, patching, and administration of IT systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access for end users and internal teams
- Ensure smooth operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with network engineers, system engineers, desktop technicians, project managers, and IT leadership
- Administer backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and oversee routine virus protection
- Maintain strict adherence to Information Systems security requirements at all times
- Maintain security audit and logging data on classified networks in coordination with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
- Work independently with minimal direction to develop and implement technical solutions
- Perform effectively in fast-paced environments with diverse assignments and cross-functional collaboration across all organizational levels
Basic Qualifications- One of the following education and experience combinations:
- Bachelor's degree with 12 years of related experience
- Master's degree with 9 years of related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent with an additional 16 years of related experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance at time of hire
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance as a condition of employment
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE or higher), with certification maintained throughout employment
- Demonstrated experience architecting virtualization and storage solutions
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Information Systems-related field
- Current DoD Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Experience supporting containerized environments
- Experience with system engineering across multiple environments
- Experience operating and managing systems under DCSA, DCID 6/3, ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG compliance frameworks
- VMware experience, including vCenter and ESXi (v6.5)
- Experience with VDI deployments (Horizon, Hyper-V)
- Advanced knowledge of Windows domain architecture, including Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, and certificate authorities
- Experience with SAN storage solutions (NetApp ONTAP, E-Series, and similar platforms)
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Cohesity or PPDM

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $106.00/hr.
