Business Analyst III

job summary:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst III to join our team in Chicago on a hybrid basis to support a key enterprise Design System project. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, evaluating real-time systems performance and translating complex user needs into actionable technical requirements and forward-thinking system prototypes.

responsibilities:

Partner with cross-functional stakeholder teams (including sales, finance, security, and compliance) to gather, evaluate, and translate user requirements into technical documentation.

Support the Design System initiative by analyzing system workflows and developing forward-thinking prototypes.

Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance testing at every stage of systems development.

Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize operational effectiveness, troubleshoot active issues, and deliver monthly status reports to leadership.

Author and update comprehensive internal and external technical documentation, process maps, and formal requirement specs.

Leverage AI tools to streamline documentation creation, workflow analysis, and operational reporting.

qualifications:

8+ years of experience in senior business analysis, systems analytics, and technical process documentation.

Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise Design Systems projects.

Strong proficiency with SQL querying, database management, and troubleshooting.

Direct working knowledge and practical application of modern AI productivity tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of driving alignment across matrixed stakeholder groups.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working alongside large, distributed, and offshore development teams.

Hands-on experience with Business Objects reporting software.

Familiarity with ITIL Foundations frameworks.
