This role leads external communications for an organization working at the intersection of frontier AI and advanced biological research, partnering closely with internal AI research teams to develop, coordinate, and execute strategic communications that support organizational goals. The position also contributes to broader marketing and communications efforts, helping shape the organization's positioning as a leader in AI-enabled science.
What You'll Do- Develop and execute integrated communications strategies for AI modeling and science-technology initiatives, including launches of AI models, datasets, software tools, and research outputs.
- Build and manage media and influencer outreach strategies to strengthen credibility, visibility, and impact.
- Partner with AI and science leaders to identify thought-leadership opportunities and provide executive communications support for speaking engagements, press interactions, and other public-facing activities.
- Collaborate across teams to create or support content development related to AI research, including press releases, statements, briefing materials, blogs, social content, website copy, and other communications materials.
What You'll Bring- 10-12 years of experience in AI/technology and/or science communications; a mix of agency and in-house experience preferred.
- Experience in fast-moving, science-focused or technology-driven environments.
- Proven track record of producing high-impact strategic communications plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
- Demonstrated success working with reporters and non-traditional influencers, with examples of earned coverage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced, matrixed environment; collaborative mindset and adaptability.
