Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and maintain database environments across DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong mainframe database administration experience and knowledge of database performance, security, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily database administration and operational activities.
• Plan, design, implement, and maintain database structures.
• Monitor and optimize database performance.
• Perform SQL code reviews and troubleshoot database issues.
• Upgrade DB2 for z/OS and maintain database catalogs.
• Manage database recovery, disaster recovery, and infrastructure changes.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Support database integration and infrastructure planning.
• Assist with training and mentoring technical staff.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of combined database administration experience.
• Strong experience with DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS administration, performance tuning, upgrades, catalog maintenance, and point-in-time recovery.
• Strong mainframe experience with z/OS, JCL, COBOL, ISPF, CICS, and RACF.
• Experience with database monitoring tools, SQL code reviews, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, and Azure.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CA Gen, ASG Scheduler, and mainframe infrastructure management.
