We are seeking a highly experienced Databricks SME/Architect with proven hands-on expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Databricks Lakehouse solutions. This is a critical role requiring strong architectural leadership and genuine production experience in Databricks environments.
Required Experience:
7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Platform Architecture.
3-5+ years of hands-on Databricks experience in enterprise production environments.
Strong experience designing and implementing Databricks Lakehouse architectures.
Proven experience with the Databricks Well-Architected Framework.
Experience supporting mission-critical, cloud-native data platforms.
Required Technical Skills:
Databricks Lakehouse Platform
Apache Spark (PySpark, Spark SQL, Scala)
Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables (DLT), Structured Streaming
Unity Catalog (Governance, Lineage, Access Controls)
AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.)
Data formats such as Parquet, JSON, and Avro
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement enterprise Databricks Lakehouse architectures.
Lead Databricks workspace, cluster, and Unity Catalog implementations.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark and SQL.
Implement security, governance, and compliance best practices.
Optimize platform performance, scalability, and cost.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide architectural guidance.
Required Certifications:
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
Databricks Certified Professional Architect (or equivalent advanced certification)
Preferred Certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Google Professional Data Engineer
Databricks Machine Learning Professional
Note: Candidates must have genuine, hands-on Databricks architecture and implementation experience. Only profiles with strong production experience and relevant certifications will be considered.
