Project Overview

We are seeking a high-level Programmer Analyst to lead the modernization of legacy IT applications critical to compliance, security, and registration functions. This initiative involves a complete rewrite of sunset technologies into a modern, supported ecosystem to mitigate operational risks and ensure the long-term integrity of database management functions.

The Team: State Team

You will join a dedicated group within the State Team focused on providing innovative digital solutions for public service. Our environment is collaborative, mission-driven, and centered on enhancing the critical systems that support the citizens of Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development: Design and build robust, scalable solutions using modern frameworks.
System Modernization: Facilitate the transition from end-of-life legacy systems to current, supported technology stacks.
Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, DevOps engineers, testers, and business analysts to meet project milestones.
Technical Standards: Maintain high code quality through clean code practices, established architecture patterns, and rigorous development standards.
Agile Integration: Actively participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and automated DevOps deployment processes.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack application development.
Front-End Expertise: 3+ years of strong, hands-on experience specifically with React.
Back-End Expertise: 5+ years of experience with .NET C#, including building secure APIs and complex server-side logic.
Database Management: 5+ years of experience with SQL Server.
Communication: Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and participate in mandatory in-person interviews and on-site office days.
