Job Description: We are looking for a professional with strong knowledge of Systems Engineering and a background in Networking. They will support the sustainment, assessment and development of a diverse Network team. They will participate in the proposal and bid reviews and will ensure adherence to L3Harris' policies, vision, values, and goals. They would be able to communicate within and outside of the SE functional group to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures and participate in moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes, as needed. The SE will contribute to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
Essential Functions: - Lead a diversely skilled engineering team in the design, implementation, and testing of WAN/LAN/SATCOM-based networks systems
- Translate customer system requirements into DOORS/Jira
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of year, based on business needs.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering with an emphasis on Networking.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Network Security policies and practices.
- Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems and networking.
- Demonstrated experience with LAN/WAN routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, EVPN).
Preferred Additional Skills:- Prior military service is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in Network and Systems Support/Installation, Cisco/Brocade/Dell IOS, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with network packet inspection tools (WireShark, TCPDump) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with multicast routing is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MPLS and VPNs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with HAIPE devices is desired.
