RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a client in Remington, IN to identify multiple Service Desk Field Technicians for short-term contract opportunities supporting IT operations during production plant setups. These roles are critical to ensuring end users are fully equipped and supported during high-impact deployment periods. This is a hands-on position that may require long workdays after initial training.
Overview:
The Service Desk Field Technician will support onsite IT deployments at production facilities, assisting with device setup, configuration, and end-user readiness. Candidates should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, following established procedures, and providing reliable technical support during critical rollout phases.
The Service Desk Field Technicians will need to be safety-focused as the onsite environment could be loud and vary in temperature.
The first week will be entirely remote for training via Microsoft Teams. The next week will be onsite at production plants in Remington, IN and Gibson City, IL. Hotel accommodations will be made for those traveling from out of town and most mileage will be reimbursed.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on experience with device setup and configuration (PCs, printers, mobile devices)
* Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
* Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
* Ability to work long shifts onsite during critical deployment periods
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of Windows Profiles
* Experience installing applications
* Customer service skills
* Previous experience in IT support or service desk roles
* Familiarity with enterprise environments and standard IT procedures
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
