Atlan SME / Metadata Engineer

Description:
AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced Atlan SME / Metadata Engineer with 5 8 years of experience to join our growing team. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the configuration and end-to-end rollout of Atlan as the central data catalog. This role focuses on establishing governance, metadata management, and seamless integration with enterprise data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT to enable automated lineage and standardized data cataloging practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead configuration and full rollout of Atlan as the central data catalog
- Establish glossaries, asset collections, classifications, auto-tagging rules, and governance workflows within Atlan
- Integrate Atlan with Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT to enable automated lineage
- Review existing seed data and classifications in the client s Atlan instance prior to implementation activities
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 8 years of experience as an Atlan SME / Metadata Engineer or similar metadata/catalog role
- Deep expertise in Atlan platform implementation and administration
- Strong experience in data cataloging and metadata management
- Hands-on experience configuring lineage and governance workflows in Atlan
- Experience integrating Atlan with Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT
- Strong understanding of metadata-driven data governance and enterprise cataloging practices
