Summary

Role: Senior Oracle DBA

Location: US Remote

Core Responsibilities

  • Administer Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/OCI, etc.)
  • Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle operations
  • Ensure availability and resiliency (e.g., RAC, Data Guard where applicable)
  • Perform backup and recovery operations
  • Monitor and optimise database performance and resource utilisation
  • Support production releases and deployments
  • Implement security, access controls, and compliance requirements
  • Troubleshoot database issues and support incident response
  • Collaborate with application teams on schema and query optimisation

Required Skills

  • Oracle RDBMS (on-prem + OCI/cloud exposure)
  • PL/SQL, query optimisation
  • Oracle HA/DR (RAC, Data Guard)
  • Performance diagnostics and tuning
