Summary

We are on the hunt for an experienced Technical Lead Data Platforms & Engineering to lead the design, development, and automation of enterprise data platform solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an individual who enjoys building scalable, high-performing systems while driving engineering best practices. The ideal candidate will combine strong development expertise with database knowledge and infrastructure automation experience to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and support of enterprise data platform solutions.
  • Strong experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar enterprise development technologies.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain relational database environments, including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar technologies.
  • Build scalable automation solutions to improve deployment, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, perform code reviews, and mentor development team members.
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in solution design, technical planning, troubleshooting, and production support.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8 10 years of hands-on software development experience, including experience in a Technical Lead role.
  • Design and implement highly available, secure, and scalable data platform solutions supporting enterprise workloads.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and infrastructure automation practices.
  • Strong programming and scripting experience with modern development technologies.
  • Experience designing and developing scalable, high-availability enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data platforms and distributed systems.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or manufacturing environments is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
