This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $25.00 - $33.00 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $52,000 - $68,640.

Summary of PositionThe
Civil CAD Technician is responsible for preparing civil engineering drawings, plans, exhibits, and related project materials under the guidance of civil engineers and project managers. This role supports land development and civil engineering projects by preparing drawings in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, maintaining project files, incorporating redlines and design updates, and assisting with plan production and quality control.
Responsibilities- Set up drawings according to company standards for title blocks, layers, fonts, and line weights.
- Prepare conceptual site plans, aerial overlays, building plans, maps, and exhibits.
- Assist with research related to civil design standards, agency requirements, and project-specific reference materials.
- Prepare preliminary and final construction documents.
- Update drawings in response to design modifications, redlines, and comments.
- Assemble plan sets for submission to agencies in PDF and Hard Copy
- Conduct spell checking / cross-referencing / quality control / revision tracking.
- Other duties as required.

- Technical School, Associate degree or certificate in Civil Drafting, CAD Technology, Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Autodesk Revit certification is a plus.
- Experience with or willingness to learn AutoCAD Civil 3D for site development projects.
- Bluebeam experience preferred, including PDF markups, drawing review, and project coordination
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to identify practical uses for company-approved AI tools to improve team processes, support better decisions, and increase efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy, protect confidential information, and remain responsible for the final work product.
Work LocationThis is an onsite position based out of our office in Kent, WA.
