Summary

The SOC Program Manager will oversee the planning, establishment, and operational management of the Security Operations Center (SOC). This individual will provide leadership and governance for SOC operations, ensuring the program meets federal cybersecurity requirements, operational readiness objectives, and service delivery expectations. The role includes responsibility for SOC stand-up activities, operational stabilization, and ongoing program management across cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and threat detection capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SOC stand-up activities, including governance framework establishment, operating model design, and implementation roadmap.
  • Manage SOC staffing plans, onboarding, and operational ramp-up activities.
  • Oversee program schedules, resource planning, and budget management to ensure cost and timeline adherence.
  • Establish and maintain SOC operational policies, procedures, and standard operating processes.
  • Ensure SOC operations align with federal compliance frameworks including FedRAMP High and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Develop SOC performance metrics, service-level agreements (SLAs), and operational dashboards.
  • Coordinate with federal stakeholders, system owners, security engineering teams, and program leadership.
  • Manage incident response coordination and escalation processes.
  • Conduct operational readiness assessments and validation exercises.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on SOC performance, risk posture, and security trends.

  • Experience supporting federal or regulated environments
