Job Description:
Directs the planning, execution, and testing of new construction power plant commissioning within defined budgets, schedules, and environmental targets. Directly interacts with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, OEM equipment suppliers, off-taker Utilities, regional transmission system operators, Plant Operations, and staff organizations to develop a fully integrated commissioning plan and to manage issues as they arise. Through system turnover walkdowns and execution of clients verification and Validation checks, assures a quality product meeting the project's performance objectives is accepted from the construction contractor(s) in the required sequence, tested, and turned over to client. Operations. Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Relevant Experience: 15+ years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers. Responsibilities: - Define commissioning strategy and long-term planning for power plant projects.- Oversee high-level coordination between regulatory bodies, utilities, and corporate leadership.- Ensure enterprise-wide implementation of best practices for commissioning.- Direct teams in resolving complex technical, contractual, and regulatory issues.- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership and executive teams on commissioning initiatives. Other: Strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning.
