Role Overview
This position is designed for an advanced researcher/engineer who will push the boundaries of simulation technologies and apply them to strategic goals in automation, energy efficiency, and sustainability. It's a mix of hands-on technical innovation and collaboration with business units/customers.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Innovation: Develop next-generation physics-based simulation methods across design, control, manufacturing, and operations.
AI/ML Integration: Embed optimization and machine learning into simulation workflows for better performance prediction, manufacturability, and reliability.
Digital Twin Development: Build digital twin applications for mechatronics products.
Physics Expertise: Apply knowledge of heat transfer, structures, circuits, fluid dynamics, electromagnetism, etc.
Domain Applications: Contribute to verticals like automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or buildings.
Collaboration: Work with business units to identify gaps, align with customer needs, and transition research into products.
Communication: Present and explain technical results internally and externally (conferences, customer meetings).
IP & Publications: Protect innovations via patents and publish in top journals/conferences.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Ph.D. or M.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related.
Experience:
4+ years in simulation, optimization, applied AI.
2+ years in product design & operation.
4+ years coding in Python & C++.
Skills:
Strong customer orientation & stakeholder management.
International project team experience.
Excellent English communication (written & verbal).
