Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a hybrid contract to hire position with a Global Financial Institution located in Iselin, NJ, Charlotte, NC, or Chandler, AZ. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a full-stack developer with a rich background in technology infrastructure and technology operations. The ideal candidate will have transitioned from a role such as a Database Administrator, Windows/Unix Administrator, or Network Administrator to a proficient Angular and Java developer. This role is for someone who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions for IT Asset Management.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust full-stack applications using Angular and Java
- Play a crucial role in the entire development lifecycle, from designing the user interface to managing server infrastructure
- Leverage a deep understanding of technology infrastructure (Linux, virtualization, containers, etc.) to inform and guide software design and development
- Develop solutions that automate IT Asset Management, improving efficiency and reliability
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver on the product roadmap
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Anticipate, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in both front-end and back-end code
Requirements: - 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a strong portfolio of projects
- Proficiency in Angular and Java
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a technology infrastructure role (e.g., DBA, Windows/Unix/Linux Administrator, Storage/Messaging/Network Administrator)
- API development experience (RESTful services)
- SQL Server backend development
- Cloud experience, preferably Red Hat OpenShift (OCP)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
Desired skills: - Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps role
- Experience in the financial services industry
Pay range: $48.91 - $56.91 per hour
