Role: Sr. ServiceNow Process Area Lead — CMDB / ITOM
Location: Remote
Need: ServiceNow CIS-Discovery or CMDB or CSDM and ITOM certifications required.
Preferred Independent consultant.

Role description
• Own 18 configuration items across CMDB, software asset management and enterprise architecture foundations.
• Own the CI class model and CSDM alignment, including BSO 2.0 business service mapping.
• Direct API CI modeling — how APIs are represented as configuration items, with versions, ownership and dependency mapping.
• Own the AWS discovery strategy directly — scope and phasing, MID server placement, credentials, data sources and success criteria — with execution carried by the CMDB/CSDM & Discovery consultant.
• Standardize ownership and support data so it scales consistently across CI classes.
• Work directly with named client data owners on asset and contract mapping and on discovery.
• Manage CMDB as the upstream dependency for Security Incident Response, SAM, Access Management and the monitoring integrations.
Required experience
• 5–8 years ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM, including at least one enterprise CI class model owned end to end.
• Deep working knowledge of CSDM, service mapping, and business and technical service offerings.
• Experience defining discovery strategy: MID server architecture, credential management, and Cloud Discovery versus Service Graph connector trade-offs.
• Data governance experience covering normalization, reconciliation and ownership data standards.
• Preferred — applies AI to CMDB data work at scale: profiling CI data, proposing class and relationship mappings, generating reconciliation rules, and drafting data governance documentation.
• Defines AI-assisted patterns for data-heavy analysis and validates every conclusion against the source system.
• ServiceNow CIS-Discovery or CMDB/CSDM micro-certifications preferred.
