Job Summary: Key Responsibilities
Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing iGPS platform on PEGA covering BPM rules, case types, data models, decision tables, UI configuration, and integration touchpoints
Identify and document technical debt manual data ingestion, poor system integrations, high operational overhead, and audit readiness gaps within the PEGA environment
Deliver a fit-gap analysis of current PEGA iGPS capabilities against target GPMS functional requirements with a clear upgrade vs. re-platforming recommendation
Design and implement PEGA BPM and Case Management enhancements workflow automation, rule-based routing, stage/status management, and SLA-driven case resolution
Build and configure PEGA Decisioning Engine rules for threshold-driven approval routing, payment eligibility checks, proforma QC validation, and auto-flagging of non-compliant records
Develop PEGA Integration Services (REST/SOAP) to connect with upstream and downstream systems CTMS, EDC, Workday ERP, MuleSoft middleware, and OBIEE reporting layer
Configure RBAC (Role-Based Access Controls) within PEGA granular user permissions across finance, operations, IT, and vendor management functions
Implement immutable audit logging within PEGA for all transactions, approvals, and configuration changes; ensure automated document retention policies aligned with SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA
Lead PEGA platform upgrade planning version assessment, compatibility checks, rule migration, and regression testing strategy
Develop data migration plan from legacy iGPS PEGA data extraction, transformation, validation, and cutover approach
Configure PEGA-based dashboards and reporting for real-time payment status, KPI tracking, and audit-ready outputs
Required Experience & Profile
Bachelor or master degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
PEGA Certified System Architect (CSA) mandatory
PEGA Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) strongly preferred
Certifications in MuleSoft, Workday integrations, or Salesforce are a plus
7 12 years of total IT experience with a minimum of 5 years in PEGA platform development and architecture
Proven hands-on expertise in PEGA BPM, Case Management, Decisioning, Integration Services (REST/SOAP), and UI/UX configuration
Prior experience in legacy PEGA system assessment, modernization, or platform upgrade programs particularly in complex enterprise environments
Domain experience in life sciences, CRO, pharma, or clinical trial operations especially in financial operations, investigator grant payments, or site payment management is highly desirable
Demonstrated experience integrating PEGA with ERP systems (Workday preferred), CTMS, EDC platforms, and middleware tools (MuleSoft)
Experience working on multi-currency, multi-country, global-scale payment platforms with regulatory compliance requirements (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA)
Exposure to Salesforce ecosystem (e.g., Cloudbyz or similar) for platform comparison or dual-path evaluation scenarios preferred
