Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation and BlackLine Consultant with 8+ years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR), General Accounting, Controllership, Financial Close, Process Transformation, and Finance Automation initiatives. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience implementing and supporting BlackLine Financial Close solutions and possess strong knowledge of finance processes, ERP systems, and financial controls.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to implement, configure, optimize, and support BlackLine solutions, ensuring efficient and standardized financial close processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in end-to-end BlackLine implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Configure and customize BlackLine modules, including:
- Account Reconciliation
- Transaction Matching
- Journal Entry
- Variance Analysis
- Task Management
- Support integration between BlackLine and ERP platforms such as SAP and other financial systems.
- Collaborate with finance and controllership teams to standardize and optimize financial close processes.
- Assist in designing internal controls and governance processes aligned with BlackLine capabilities.
- Support finance transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives.
- Prepare and execute data validation, UAT, cutover activities, and hyper-care support.
- Deliver user training sessions and provide ongoing support to business users and system administrators.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements.
- Support post-implementation enhancements, upgrades, and performance optimization activities.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Finance, RTR, General Accounting, Controllership, Financial Close, or Finance Transformation functions.
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting BlackLine Financial Close solutions.
- Strong understanding of:
- Record-to-Report (RTR)
- Account Reconciliation
- Journal Entries
- Financial Close & Consolidation
- Internal Controls
- Financial Reporting
- Experience configuring BlackLine modules including Account Reconciliation, Transaction Matching, Journal Entry, Variance Analysis, and Task Management.
- Experience integrating BlackLine with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Strong knowledge of finance process standardization, automation, and transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting UAT, cutover, go-live, and hyper-care activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- BlackLine Financial Close Implementation Certification.
- SAP Finance / SAP FICO experience.
- Experience in shared services, controllership, or global finance transformation programs.
- Experience with process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of SOX controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Prior consulting experience working with enterprise finance organizations.
