In this fully onsite role, you will be embedded with engineers, designers, and technicians to proactively identify health and safety risks across critical infrastructure and operational environments — with a strong emphasis on electrical safety and OSHA compliance.
Day-to-day, you''ll evaluate work tasks and life safety measures to ensure that all teams and facility managers are meeting applicable internal policies and governmental requirements. You will conduct inspections, facilitate training workshops, manage chemical and hazardous waste compliance, and prepare risk assessments that directly protect the health of operational staff. You''ll collaborate cross-functionally with environmental compliance managers, DCEO teams, and facility stakeholders, reporting into the broader Environmental Health & Safety organization.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with data center and rack lab operations teams to ensure compliance with H&S programs, procedures, and training requirements.
- Collaborate with environmental compliance managers on data collection and inspections related to hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, e-waste management, ozone depletion substance (ODS) inventory, and environmental reporting.
- Conduct workplace safety data collection including sound level measurements and other environmental monitoring activities.
- Review standard operating procedures (SOPs), emergency operating procedures (EOPs), and other work tasks to identify worker health and safety hazards and prepare risk assessments with mitigation recommendations.
- Assist in developing and delivering workshops and training classes for data center and rack lab staff on topics including hazard recognition, hazard assessment, life safety inspections, chemical safety, heat/cold stress, indoor/outdoor air quality, and working-at-height hazards.
- Participate in regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with ISO standards, national regulatory requirements, operational procedures, and local site requirements.
- Participate in regular audits of required EHS programs.
- Support DCEO teams with chemical and waste management, including maintaining chemical inventories, safety data sheets, conducting hazardous waste inspections, and supervising hazardous waste disposal activities.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor''s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of health and safety compliance experience in industrial, data center, or technical environments.
- Solid knowledge of electrical safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing work procedures for recognized hazards, identifying hazard mitigation strategies, and conducting risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA).
- Proficient in developing and driving operating procedures within compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills — ability to work across engineering, operations, and management teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple compliance priorities simultaneously.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working in research and development environments reviewing experimental equipment for recognized hazards.
- Knowledge of auditing policies, standards, and procedures.
- Hands-on experience in data center operations with a specific focus on safety programs.
- Track record of successfully managing and completing ISO audits.
- Familiarity with relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- OSHA 30-Hour certification or equivalent credential.
