Job Description
We are seeking an Accountant: IV (Lead) to join our Finance Shared Services team supporting month-end close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general ledger accounting, GAAP, and ERP systems and a proven ability to deliver accurate financial statements, streamline close activities, and support audits.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities to produce timely financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end close.
- Prepare journal entries and evaluate accounting classifications in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure monthly accruals, allocations, and complex entries are accurate as new information is obtained.
- Prepare, review, and submit documentation to support external and internal audits.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close using appropriate information systems and technology.
- Evaluate, recommend, maintain, and monitor internal controls and related documentation.
- Oversee and manage assigned administrative processes.
- Support various projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical accounting skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP or similar large ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data aggregation from multiple sources.
