Role Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to design and deliver enterprise-grade applications and data solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role blends solution architecture across the Oracle APEX application layer with large-scale data processing across the Hadoop ecosystem. The ideal candidate owns the overall technical design and is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves in Python to build and optimize data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and oversee delivery of scalable applications and data platforms on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Own the solution architecture for Oracle APEX applications — data models, page flows, and integrations — providing technical direction to the APEX development team.
• Define and implement big data processing workflows leveraging Hadoop, Hive, and MapReduce.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data processing logic and automation in Python (using PyCharm as the primary IDE).
• Translate business requirements into robust technical architectures, with clear documentation of design decisions and trade-offs.
• Partner with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet performance, security, and scalability standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Strong programming experience in Python, with PyCharm as a working development environment.
• Demonstrated experience with the Hadoop ecosystem — specifically Hadoop, Hive, and MapReduce — for large-scale data processing.
• Solid understanding of Oracle APEX from an architecture and design standpoint, with the ability to guide development teams (hands-on APEX coding not required).
• Ability to design end-to-end solutions spanning application and data layers.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Oracle certifications (OCI Architect, APEX, or related).
• Experience integrating OCI services with on-prem or hybrid big data environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control in a data engineering context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of relevant experience, with a track record of architecting and delivering enterprise solutions.
