Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Director to lead enterprise-wide SAP Finance transformation initiatives, solution strategy, and global delivery programs across complex business environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, financial operations, enterprise architecture, and large-scale ERP transformation programs.

This leadership role requires strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT leadership teams to drive scalable, compliant, and innovative SAP solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise SAP FICO strategy, architecture governance, and digital finance transformation initiatives.

• Drive global SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation, migration, rollout, and optimization programs.

• Oversee design and standardization of core finance processes including:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Asset Accounting (AA)

  • Bank Accounting

  • Cost Center Accounting

  • Profit Center Accounting

  • Internal Orders

  • Product Costing

  • COPA (Profitability Analysis)

• Partner with executive leadership, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Procurement, and IT teams to align SAP solutions with business objectives.

• Lead enterprise architecture discussions and define SAP Finance roadmaps supporting scalability, automation, compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Govern end-to-end SAP delivery including requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, testing, deployment, and hypercare support.

• Oversee integration strategy between SAP FICO and SAP MM, SD, PP, BW, Treasury, and external financial systems.

• Ensure compliance with SOX, audit, tax, and regulatory requirements across financial processes and reporting.

• Drive financial close optimization, reporting automation, and analytics modernization initiatives.

• Lead global delivery teams, SAP consultants, system integrators, offshore teams, and third-party vendors.

• Provide executive-level program governance, risk management, budgeting, and status reporting.

• Mentor solution architects, functional leads, and finance transformation teams.

• Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover planning, and production deployment governance.

• Support innovation initiatives leveraging SAP Fiori, embedded analytics, SAP BTP, and cloud finance technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.

• 15+ years of SAP FICO experience with at least 5+ years in leadership, architecture, or director-level roles.

• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations.

• Proven experience leading large-scale SAP Finance transformation programs and global deployments.

• Deep expertise in:

  • GL

  • AP/AR

  • Asset Accounting

  • Bank Accounting

  • Cost Center & Profit Center Accounting

  • Internal Orders

  • Product Costing

  • COPA

  • Financial Closing & Reporting

• Experience integrating SAP FICO with MM, SD, PP, Treasury, BW, and external applications.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, audit controls, and month-end/year-end close processes.

• Experience with SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and finance reporting solutions.

• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP FICO Certification preferred.

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or PMP certification is a plus.

• Experience with:

  • Central Finance (CFIN)

  • SAP Group Reporting

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

  • SAP BTP

  • Cloud finance transformation programs

• Industry experience in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Technology, or Life Sciences environments preferred.
