Job Description

The Staff Accountant is a team player who possesses a positive attitude and is self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, organized, analytical and resourceful. The Accountant needs to be comfortable working in a changing environment and be able to challenge and improve the status quo.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to month end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial data is in compliance with GAAP.
Review monthly financial statements of multiple entities to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Prepare month end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Research variances in key account balances and explain variances between actuals and budget.
Assist with shared service accounting functions including general ledger accounting, corporate accounting, intercompany, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, etc.
Learn and assist in training and implementation of our ERP system.
Ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures and incorporate procedural improvements to optimize efficiency.
Create ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis as required to support business objectives.
Assist with annual financial and internal control audits.
Provide on-going support to various business partners.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with minimum of 1 year of applicable experience.
Working knowledge of fully integrated ERP systems.
In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Strong PC skills with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
