Job Overview: The Senior Systems Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the migration of legacy Cognos reports to Power BI. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in systems migration. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Systems Analyst role, modern computing technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into system specifications. This role involves working in a hybrid schedule, alternating between office and remote work.
Responsibilities: - Function as a consultant to internal business partners regarding technology and process solutions.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of viable technology solutions by collaborating with teammates, IT groups, external service providers, and business partners.
- Provide guidance on available technologies to solve complex requirements.
- Interface with internal business partners, IT groups, and external service providers to implement new systems and modify existing systems.
- Lead requirements workshops and document business requirements, test cases, and use cases using structured methodologies.
- Analyze and document systems, problems, processes, and needs of internal business partners.
- Develop and deliver training on new or revised system functionality to educate users and support personnel.
- Provide written and verbal updates on projects and solutions to IT and business management.
Qualifications: - Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Senior Systems Analyst.
- Proven experience with Report Builder, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Semantic model in Report Builder, medium to advanced SQL writing, and report conversions.
- Optional experience with Power Automate, Cognos, and report conversions from Cognos to Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with business partners for analysis, feedback, and presentations.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalency (Required).
- Experience in information technology, business/technology consulting firms, or utility business groups preferred.
- IT experience in large-scale environments across multiple hardware and software platforms is a plus.

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hr. W2
