Sr. Hogan RPM EngineerLocation: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)

OverviewA major financial institution is expanding its mainframe engineering footprint in Minneapolis and is seeking a Sr. Hogan RPM Engineer. This role focuses on strengthening core banking systems, modernizing components, improving batch/online performance, and guiding junior engineers.
This position is ideal for someone with deep Hogan and mainframe experience who can contribute quickly in a fast-moving, long-term environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications within Hogan RPM, with exposure to CIS and IDS.
- Design and support COBOL (non-Hogan) components, batch processing, JCL flows, and mainframe integrations.
- Analyze and tune IMS and VSAM database/file access for performance and stability.
- Support and enhance CICS transactions, online workflows, and region/pseudo-conversational processing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: standups, refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives.
- Provide L3 production support, including incident/problem/change management.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across RPM, CIS, IDS, DB2/IMS, QA, Release Management, and platform teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to runbooks, documentation, and system flow diagrams.
Required Qualifications- 4-8+ years of hands-on mainframe engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Hogan RPM; working knowledge of CIS and IDS.
- Proficiency in COBOL (non-Hogan), JCL, IMS, VSAM, and CICS.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong communication, cross-team collaboration, and leadership-by-influence skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52.00 - $60.00/hr.
