Position Summary
We are looking for a technically inclined IT support professional to assist with technology operations across our East Texas locations. This position combines traditional desktop support and providing critical technology support for both office personnel and remote operational sites. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and supporting users in dynamic environments.
Primary Responsibilities
End-User Technology Support
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, and other end-user hardware.
- Support Windows-based systems and resolve common software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
- Perform equipment replacements, upgrades, and asset inventory activities.
Local IT Operations Support
- Serve as the local technical resource for issues requiring hands-on assistance.
- Coordinate with remote IT staff to execute hardware installations, site assessments, and ticket resolution activities.
- Document support activities and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Professional Experience
- One to three years of experience in technical support, desktop support, field services, or a related IT function.
- Experience supporting users in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or field-based environments is beneficial.
Technical Competencies
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, wireless connectivity, and basic network diagnostics.
- Experience installing, configuring, and repairing computer hardware and peripheral devices.
Industry Background
- Familiarity with upstream energy operations, drilling environments, or industrial field locations is preferred.
- Understanding of site safety procedures and the ability to work effectively in operational environments is advantageous.
Travel & Scheduling
- Valid driver''s license and dependable transportation required.
- Ability to travel regularly between office locations and nearby field operations.
- Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on business growth and operational demand.
