PeopleSoft to WorkDay Migration Consultant
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft to Workday Migration Consultant to support enterprise HR and Finance transformation initiatives involving migration from PeopleSoft to Workday. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, HR/Finance teams, technical architects, integration developers, and project managers to plan, design, and execute successful migration and implementation activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in ERP transformation, data migration, business process mapping, integrations, testing, and post-go-live support.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing PeopleSoft HRMS/FSCM business processes and map them to Workday functionality.
- Lead data migration activities including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading into Workday.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and conduct fit-gap analysis.
- Configure and support Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, and Financials.
- Design and support integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, and Middleware platforms.
- Coordinate testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and parallel payroll validation.
- Develop migration strategy, cutover plans, and deployment documentation.
- Support change management, user training, and hypercare activities post go-live.
- Work with cross-functional technical teams including security, reporting, and integration teams.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans during migration projects.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and security standards.
Requirements
Required Skills
<>Functional Skills>- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft HRMS/FSCM architecture
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and/or Financials
- Business process redesign and transformation experience
- Knowledge of HR, Payroll, Finance, and Talent processes
- Data migration tools and methodologies
- SQL and reporting knowledge
- Experience with XML, XSLT, Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs
- Workday integration technologies: EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors
- ETL tools experience preferred
- Agile/Scrum or Waterfall delivery experience
- Stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation
- Documentation and training material preparation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR, Finance, or related field
- 5–10+ years of ERP implementation or migration experience
- 4+ years of Workday implementation experience
- Prior experience migrating from PeopleSoft to Workday preferred
- Workday certifications are a plus
