Role Overview
An experienced Quality Engineer is required to join a sophisticated Identity and Access Management team. This position focuses on implementing a software engineering approach to design, build, and automate tests for enterprise security systems operating at scale. The role emphasizes the validation of intelligent, data-driven systems, requiring a deep understanding of adaptive algorithms, model integrity, and system behavior under dynamic conditions. Collaboration with cross-functional partners is essential to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for systems incorporating predictive or adaptive logic.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data specialists to integrate quality assurance from ideation through deployment.
- Conduct exploratory testing and rigorous risk analysis for complex, data-intensive systems.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Advocate for software quality engineering best practices, including test-driven development and shift-left testing.
- Evaluate non-deterministic behaviors and maintain alignment with emerging technologies in learning-based environments.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: Five or more years of proven experience in software quality engineering, specifically with systems that evolve based on data or user interaction.
Technical Skills: Proven proficiency with test automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript. Strong familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, relational databases, document datastores, and graph databases. Deep understanding of secure engineering principles, including secure secrets management and encrypted transports. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Jira, CI/CD platforms, and service standards such as APIs, OAuth2, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of critical data handling and compliance frameworks, including SOX, PCI, and PII.
- Professional SailPoint Certifications or experience with other identity and access management platforms.
- Active security certifications such as CISSP.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and managing asynchronous workflows.
