Summary

Overview

The Mass Notification System Administrator is responsible for the management, configuration, maintenance, security, and optimization of the organization's mass notification system and related emergency communication technologies. This role ensures 24/7 operational reliability of infrastructure supporting dispatch, security operations, emergency response, and other system user stake holders. The administrator serves as the technical resource for system management, testing, training, and enterprise deployment to support safety, security and business continuity.
  • Administer and maintain the enterprise mass notification system, ensuring reliability, system health, and proper configuration.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate system updates, upgrades, and maintenance with vendors and internal IT teams.
  • Support deployment and expansion of notification endpoints across facilities, including desktop alerts, mobile alerts, beacons, and digital signage.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage emergency notification templates, alert groups, and communication protocols.
  • Conduct regular system testing, drills, and exercises to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintain documentation, system inventory, and testing records to support compliance and audit requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to dispatch personnel, security staff, and other users on system operation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support emergency communications and incident response procedures.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting, system improvements, and best practices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associates Degree (or higher)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting or administering enterprise security and mass notification/emergency communication platforms

Preferred:

  • Experience working with mass notification or emergency communication platforms.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, system administration, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security technologies such as alarm monitoring, access control, and video systems preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
