Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IBM Apptio Developer to design, develop, configure, and support Apptio solutions for IT financial management, Technology Business Management (TBM), cloud cost management, and IT planning. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, IT leadership, and technical teams to deliver accurate cost transparency, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and develop solutions using IBM Apptio products.
- Develop and maintain Apptio models, data sources, data pipelines, reports, dashboards, and analytics.
- Configure and support Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks and taxonomy.
- Integrate Apptio with various enterprise data sources, including financial, operational, cloud, infrastructure, and IT service management systems.
- Perform data ingestion, transformation, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Build and maintain cost models, allocation models, planning models, and forecasting solutions.
- Develop customized reports and dashboards for IT Finance, Technology, Cloud, and Business stakeholders.
- Analyze data quality issues and troubleshoot integration and modeling problems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support Apptio platform upgrades, enhancements, testing, and production deployments.
- Create technical documentation, process documentation, and user guides.
- Monitor application performance and ensure the accuracy and reliability of Apptio data.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, testing, and release activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in IT application development, data engineering, or enterprise application implementation.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Apptio.
- Strong experience with ApptioOne, TBM Studio, Apptio Cost Transparency, or related Apptio products.
- Experience developing and maintaining Apptio models, data pipelines, reports, and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of Technology Business Management (TBM) concepts and IT cost allocation.
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Apptio Cloudability or cloud financial management.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cost data.
- Experience integrating Apptio with ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or other enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of IT financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback/showback models.
- Experience with APIs, REST services, and enterprise data integrations.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
