D365 F&O Consultant

Description

We are looking for an experienced D365 F& O Consultant to support a long-term contract engagement. This role is ideal for a finance-focused Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations specialist who can guide implementations from planning through deployment while partnering closely with stakeholders to align system capabilities with business needs. The consultant will bring strong expertise across core financial processes and help deliver practical, scalable solutions using established Microsoft implementation approaches.

Responsibilities:

Lead Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations through each project phase, from discovery and solution design to testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

Advise business and project stakeholders on financial process improvements and translate operational needs into effective system configurations.

Configure and optimize core finance capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash and bank management, and project-related functions.

Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions to document business objectives, identify gaps, and recommend solution approaches aligned with platform best practices.

Collaborate with technical teams on environment planning, release coordination, and DevOps-related activities to support successful delivery.

Apply Microsoft delivery frameworks and implementation standards, including FastTrack guidance and business process libraries, to strengthen project outcomes.

Review testing results, support issue resolution, and help ensure the solution meets functional and operational expectations before launch.

Provide functional leadership throughout the engagement, offering direction to team members and maintaining close communication with client stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 to 4 full lifecycle implementations completed with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
6 to 7+ years of experience serving as a finance consultant or functional lead, preferably within a Microsoft partner environment.
Strong functional knowledge of core finance modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, and Projects.
Practical experience working with Azure DevOps or similar tools to manage delivery activities and project collaboration.
Familiarity with Microsoft implementation methods, including FastTrack and business process catalog resources.
Proven ability to gather requirements, lead client discussions, and convert business needs into workable functional solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in client-facing consulting environments.
