Description
We are looking for an IT Technician to support a rapidly expanding user environment in Houston, Texas. This Contract position focuses on delivering hands-on technical assistance for end users, including workstation setup, account support, and day-to-day hardware troubleshooting in a fully onsite setting. The role offers a flexible schedule within business operating hours and may require evening assistance and travel to multiple company locations.
Responsibilities:
Provide onsite technical support for employees by diagnosing and resolving desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues.
Set up equipment and system access for incoming staff to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Handle user account assistance such as password support and basic access-related requests.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and associated devices across the organization.
Travel to various company sites as needed to deliver in-person IT support, with travel potentially reaching 50% of the role.
Support daily operations during core business hours and assist with occasional after-hours technical needs.
Monitor and address end-user issues in a fast-growing environment with increasing support demands.
Collaborate with other technicians to maintain reliable service coverage across multiple locations.
Requirements
Experience providing desktop or PC technician support in an onsite environment.
Working knowledge of computer hardware, related equipment, and peripheral troubleshooting.
Ability to manage password issues, user setup tasks, and general end-user support requests.
Comfortable traveling regularly to different work locations as business needs require.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple technical issues effectively.
Availability to work flexible hours within daytime operations and provide limited night support when needed.
Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented approach when assisting employees in person.
