Role: Senior Power BI developer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: Long-term
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop data models using Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms).
- Optimize report performance and ensure scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Create and maintain data visualizations, KPIs, and metrics.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data/reporting issues.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop & Service).
- Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language).
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Azure services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
