Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead site-level technology operations for a large enterprise environment in Greensboro, NC. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting both operational and manufacturing users, with ownership spanning end user services, infrastructure reliability, application support, cybersecurity compliance, and vendor management.

Day-to-day, you''ll serve as the senior IT presence onsite — keeping systems running, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, and acting as a trusted advisor to site leadership. You''ll partner with central IT teams on architecture and standards while independently managing the full scope of local IT operations. This role is built for someone who leads from the front, drives accountability, and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite end user support services across Tier 1 through Tier 3, ensuring SLA performance for incident, request, and problem management
  • Manage hardware lifecycle including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and operational equipment
  • Monitor and report key service metrics including MTTR, first call resolution, and user satisfaction
  • Ensure reliability and availability of LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls, and ISP connectivity
  • Maintain high availability for critical business and production systems
  • Partner with central infrastructure teams on upgrades, standards, and architecture alignment
  • Oversee local server rooms and infrastructure compliance
  • Implement proactive monitoring and capacity planning
  • Serve as site liaison for enterprise applications including ERP, MES, and collaboration platforms
  • Enforce corporate cybersecurity standards, manage endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability remediation
  • Participate in incident response and disaster recovery testing
  • Promote security awareness among site employees
  • Align IT initiatives with operational, engineering, and business objectives
  • Manage local IT vendors, telecom contracts, and asset inventory
  • Lead and develop site IT personnel, fostering accountability and technical excellence
  • Drive continuous improvement across service delivery and automation

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7–10 years of progressive IT experience
  • 3–5 years of IT leadership or site-level management experience
  • Strong experience with enterprise network infrastructure
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications including ERP and MES platforms
  • Experience with endpoint management platforms
  • Knowledge of ITSM frameworks; ITIL preferred
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner across technical and business teams

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with digital optimization and automation initiatives
  • Background in budget management and cost optimization
  • Familiarity with enterprise procurement and vendor contract management

Education

  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
