Job Description

You will be the CAD/CAM Engineer Staff for the CAD/CAM & PLM organization which is responsible for advancing training and best-practice processes across all aeronautical sites.

What You Will Be Doing

As the CAD/CAM Engineer Staff you will be responsible for leading the CAD and PLM training program, developing standards, and ensuring the engineering community can efficiently use the tools and processes required for mission success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs for CATIA V5, 3DX, NX, and Xcelerator across design, analysis, manufacturing, tooling, sustainment, and specialty engineering teams.
  • Create and maintain training documentation, standards, and processes for CAD/CAM and PLM tools.
  • Collaborate with Aero IT and the Design Process Integration team to define engineering dataset standards and update the Engineering Process Control Manual.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the CAD/CAM & PLM environment, applying expertise in Model Based Analysis, Design, and Manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with CAD/PLM instructors and subject-matter experts to tailor training to functional objectives and ensure program goals are met.

You are a self-motivated, collaborative professional with deep, hands-on knowledge of CATIA V5, 3DX, NX, Xcelerator and aerospace PLM tools. You excel at communicating complex technical concepts, thrive in a multi-site environment, and bring strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills to the team.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with experience in design, analysis, and/or engineering tools training or a Master's degree in a STEM field.
Experience developing engineering CAD/PLM training programs and establishing best modeling processes.
Experience in creating clear training materials and best practice documentation.

Desired skills

Capability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide user support.
Proven ability to validate and test CAD/PLM tool functionality.
Experience in an aerospace design environment, especially in one or more of the following areas: structural design/analysis, composite design/analysis, subsystems design/analysis, electrical/mechanical routing, or mechanism design/analysis.
Proficiency with Teamcenter and NX (or comparable PDM/PLM and CAD/CAE tools).
Experience developing code for utility applications.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical approaches and recommendations.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $114,700 - $198,720. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
