Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Consultant to support a client in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including cloud architecture, implementation, migration, and administration.

This position requires someone with a broad understanding of the Oracle Cloud ecosystem, rather than someone whose background is limited to traditional Oracle Database Administration (DBA). The consultant must be comfortable working with technical teams, discussing cloud solutions, and communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.

• Develop and support OCI cloud architecture, infrastructure, and platform solutions.

• Work with OCI compute, networking, storage, security, and identity services.

• Support cloud migration initiatives, including moving applications and workloads to Oracle Cloud.

• Configure and manage OCI services, resources, and environments.

• Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend cloud optimization and improvement strategies.

• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide technical solutions.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams.

• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or related cloud technologies.

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Broad knowledge of OCI architecture, compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud services.

• Experience with cloud migrations, implementations, and infrastructure management.

• Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), and networking concepts.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to explain technical concepts and interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications.

• Experience with OCI architecture and enterprise cloud environments.

• Experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and enterprise application integrations.

Important: This role requires a well-rounded OCI Consultant with broad Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience. Candidates with exclusively traditional Oracle DBA experience will not be the right fit.
