CONTEXT & INITIATIVE DESCRIPTION

Our BioPharma Client is seeking a Consultant, Clinical Supplies Management to support the planning and execution of global Phase I-III clinical trials. This critical Consultant will play a key role in ensuring the timely availability, packaging, distribution, and ongoing management of clinical trial supplies across sites and depots.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical supply and trial operations experience, excellent cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams, vendors, logistics providers, and clinical sites.

This role will report into our client's Head of Clinical Supplies.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS:
  • Lead day-to-day operations related to clinical trial inventory, packaging, logistics, and distribution
  • Support forecasting and development of monthly supply and demand requirements to ensure clinical sites have the materials necessary to meet study needs
  • Develop and support supply planning and distribution strategies based on study requirements and enrollment forecasts
  • Assist with the management and distribution of ancillary clinical trial supplies as needed
  • Manage the translation of required clinical trial materials and coordinate review and approval with appropriate functions
  • Work cross-functionally with Clinical, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and execution
  • Manage and/or oversee Interactive Response Technology (IRT) activities related to clinical supply management
  • Support vendor management and coordination to ensure timely completion of key milestones and deliverables
  • Partner with logistics providers to coordinate the timely delivery of clinical trial materials to sites and depots
  • Support the assessment, management, and release of temperature-related excursions affecting clinical sites and depots
  • Identify potential supply and distribution risks and work proactively with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve issues
  • Provide ongoing operational support to ensure clinical supply activities remain aligned with study timelines and clinical needs


Experience Requirements:
MUST HAVES - QUALIFICATION SUMMARY
  • Minimum 3 years, Ideally 6+ years of relevant experience in clinical trial supply, clinical operations, or related
  • Experience supporting or managing global Phase 1-3 clinical trials
  • Experience managing or overseeing IRT systems and processes
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical trial supply forecasting, inventory management, logistics, and distribution
  • Experience working cross-functionally internal (Clinical, Quality, Regulatory) and with external vendors
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced clinical development environment


NICE-TO-HAVES
  1. Experience supporting or managing clinical trials in China
  2. Experience working with medical devices or device-related clinical trials
