Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training in metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment.
- Experience setting up and operating mechanical or CNC press brake machines.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and production specifications.
- Experience using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of bending, punching, forming, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with production tracking, routing documentation, and preventive maintenance.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and grasp materials.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.
- Ability to perform detailed inspections and precision measurements.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with required PPE.
Job Duties
- Set up, adjust, and operate press brake equipment to produce high-quality parts.
- Perform blanking, bending, punching, and forming operations on various metal materials.
- Select and install tooling, ensuring proper machine setup and product accuracy.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to meet quality standards.
- Complete production documentation, update work orders, and move materials through the manufacturing process.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, report mechanical issues, and follow all workplace safety procedures.
