Role: Senior Business Analyst - Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA)
Location: Hybrid ( Charlotte, NC or Newark, NJ)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep, hands-on experience across all US Demand Deposit Account (DDA) types, including Checking Accounts, Savings Accounts, and Money Market Accounts (MMAs). This role will support the build of a bank-owned DDA processing platform, guiding requirements, design, and capability definition across the full software lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has worked deep in DDA processing, understands the nuances and differences across account types, and can translate complex banking and operational needs into clear requirements for engineering teams building the platform in-house.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and shape requirements for a DDA platform
· Provide subject matter expertise across Checking, Savings, and Money Market Accounts
· Define functional and nonfunctional requirements covering the full DDA lifecycle* Partner with product, operations, compliance, and engineering to influence platform design
· Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, data requirements, and acceptance criteria
· Guide design decisions around account behavior, posting, and processing rules
· Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies across DDA capabilities
· Support testing, UAT, and implementation readiness
Required Experience & Skills:
· 7+ years as a Business Analyst in US banking
· Deep, hands-on DDA processing experience (not just product-level knowledge)
· Direct experience working with core banking or DDA processing platforms* Experience supporting platform builds, transformations, or core modernizations
· Strong ability to guide requirements and design for engineering teams
· Excellent documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows)
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
