Senior Software Configuration/Release Engineer

The Senior Software Configuration/Release Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining cloud configuration, release, and infrastructure management processes across GTA s AWS environments. This role ensures highly available, secure, compliant, and well-governed cloud platforms through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, automated backup and patching strategies, and SSL/TLS certificate management. The engineer will support AWS DevOps pipelines using CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline, manage multiple environments (Dev, Test, Stage, Prod), and work closely with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to support stable statewide services. Responsibilities include implementing configuration standards, conducting compliance audits, maintaining detailed documentation, and providing technical guidance and training. Candidates must have 8+ years of configuration management experience, strong AWS and Terraform expertise, and experience with automation, security, and compliance. This is a hybrid role (2 days onsite per week) with on-site interviews only, and qualified candidates must be Permanent Residents.
