Position Summary (Purpose of job):
The Specialty Program Operations Analyst supports the execution of core Specialty Programs within SP&P, with primary responsibility for Auto Substitution and replenishment activities for Sequestration, while also serving as a cross-trained backup for Fair Share allocation operations.
This position ensures accurate program execution, supports supply optimization, and enables data-driven decision making across complex workflows that impact product access, cost efficiency, and customer commitments. The role works cross-functionally with Portfolio, Pricing, Clinical, Buyers, Distribution Centers, SAP/MDM, Customer Care, and Sales to support timely decisions, issue resolution, operational consistency, and continuous improvement.
A high priority for this role is embracing utilization of AI-enabled tools and workflows as a standard part of daily operations, using them responsibly to improve efficiency, strengthen decision support, and drive consistent, scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support execution of Auto Substitution, Sequestration replenishment, and Fair Share allocation workflows to improve product access, inventory utilization, and operational consistency
- Maintain accurate SAP configuration and program logic, including substitution rules, material mapping, inventory movement, replenishment actions, and allocation controls.
- Monitor program workflows from intake and validation through execution, tracking, and escalation to ensure timely and disciplined operational performance
- Partner with Portfolio, Pricing, Clinical, Buyers, Distribution Centers, SAP/MDM, Customer Care, and Sales to resolve issues, align decisions, and support customer commitments
- Leverage SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, and other reporting tools to evaluate substitution performance, sequestration execution, allocation activity, adoption trends, and operational outcomes
- Track KPIs, including substitution rates, FSE turnaround time, sequestration replenishment execution timelines, inventory movement accuracy, and other program performance measures
- Support recurring operating cadences, issue reviews, program calls, and stakeholder communications related to program changes, risks, and resolutions
- Provide timely support for customer-facing escalations and ensure appropriate follow-up, documentation, and resolution tracking
- Serve as a cross-trained resource to provide backup coverage across Specialty Program Operations as business needs require
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Working knowledge of healthcare distribution, specialty operations, supply chain, program operations, or related business workflows
- Experience using SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, or comparable systems to support workflow execution, reporting, and issue resolution
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across fast-paced, interdependent workflows with accuracy and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional stakeholders
Business Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, healthcare, operations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Copilot, with demonstrated ability prioritizing AI-enabled tools to improve workflow efficiency, documentation, analysis, and decision support.
- Typically requires 2–5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, healthcare distribution, program management, analytics, or a related field
- Experience supporting specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical distribution, allocation, substitution, inventory, or replenishment processes preferred
